MICHAEL A. PERALES
Mr. Perales has been practicing all aspects of insurance defense and workers’ compensation since 1983. A shareholder with Ritsema & Lyon, he has extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution. He advises clients and offers practical solutions to successfully resolve workers’ compensation and insurance defense issues. Once it is determined that no other resolutions are feasible, Mr. Perales aggressively litigates the case. In order to provide the highest quality representation for carriers and employers, he keeps current with the latest developments before all appellate tribunals. In his career, he has handled a variety of complex medical claims involving asbestos exposure, cancer and other occupational exposure claims. Mr. Perales has made many presentations at various seminars, including the annual meeting of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. He has also authored “Work Related Stress Claims,” an article which appeared in The Colorado Lawyer. Mr. Perales is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of Colorado and the U. S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. He is a member of the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations and is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Colorado Bar.
