DEREK T. FRICKEY
Mr. Frickey is a shareholder in our Colorado Springs office. He joined Ritsema & Lyon in 2000 and practices exclusively in the area of workers’ compensation. He was previously a shareholder in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, law firm of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin, where his practice included the defense of public, private, and self-insured entities. He had over 9 years’ experience litigating and defending all aspects of workers’ compensation claims prior to joining the Ritsema & Lyon team. Mr. Frickey’s previous litigation experience is invaluable in providing the best possible work product for his clients. He emphasizes a teamwork approach with his clients in developing strategic litigation plans and attainable goals. He received his J.D. from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, in 1991 and was honored academically with the American Jurisprudence Award in Property I. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, in 1988. He is a member of the Colorado and El Paso County Bar Associations.
