SUSAN K. REEVES

A shareholder with Ritsema & Lyon, Ms. Reeves concentrates exclusively on workers’ compensation cases. Her clients include public, private and self-insured entities. Her experience includes work in the areas of workers’ compensation, products liability, and personal injury. Ms. Reeves holds a bachelor of science degree in physical therapy, and she practiced for a number of years as a physical therapist before attending law school. This unique experience gives her an added advantage in evaluating workers’ compensation claims.

Before joining our firm, she was a partner in the law firm of Vaughan, Reeves & DeMuro. Ms. Reeves takes a highly responsive approach to clients’ needs and makes it a priority to be readily available to them. She stays very current on the law and relevant legislative changes, which enables her to evaluate cases and their likelihood of success. She always seeks creative solutions to problem issues.

Formerly Co-Chairman of the Southern Chapter of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, Ms. Reeves practices in our Colorado Springs office. She was an Executive Board Member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Colorado Bar Association and is a frequent speaker at workers’ compensation seminars and conferences.  Ms. Reeves received her J.D. from the law school of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating cum laude in 1986. She is a member of the El Paso County, Colorado and American Bar Associations and has been recognized as a Colorado "Super Lawyer" for 2008.
